Still haven't found another job. Had an interview at Staple's a couple weeks ago, and they SAID I'd know by the following sunday if I'd gotten the job. Yeah, no call. Just as well, they kinda jerked me around with the interview in the first place. I was told to come in on a friday, but when I got there, the store manager asked me to come back the following monday for the interview. Apparently, the store manager had not been informed that I had been called to come in that day. Okay, fine, I suppose I can understand that.
So I went back on monday (almost wasn't able to because of severe snow, but it cleared up just in time). But when I get there, the store manager again asks me to come back the next day. Seems she scheduled me to come in at the same time that she had a conference call (or vice versa, doesn't matter). Would've been nice if she'd called me beforehand to let me know of such...
I half expected to come in the next day and get turned away again (and if I had, that would have been the last time, as I'd be calling their corporate HQ and issuing some severe complaints), but the interview actually happened. Surprise surprise surprise, as Gomer Pyle once said. But nothing came of it. What a waste of time, not to mention gas. They shouldn't be jerking people around like that with how high gas prices are these days.
